Bicameral Media Corporation is an Atlanta, Georgia early stage investment group. We support early stage ventures by collaborating with existing companies, angel investors and other investor groups. We identify and help facilitate investment in early stage ventures, where disruptive technology, novel ideas and creativity are key differentiators.
Our approach is based on an understanding of how media messages are crafted to persuade an audience by examining rhetorical strategies within the context of a specific medium and its purpose. We use visual, graphics, audio and textual elements to dissect media forms such as advertisements, films, or news articles, revealing the persuasive techniques embedded in the message’s design, content, and medium choice.
Digital rhetoric is a type of rhetoric that influences or persuades others through all forms of electronic media. Today the Internet is the dominant technological, rhetoric producing, social communication tool, shaping the way information is produced and distributed. Emails, text messages, Direct Messaging services and social media websites have changed the way media is used to receive information and influence others. The Internet has developed forms of rhetoric which would have been incredibly difficult to process without the existence of digital multimedia (video, text, graphics and audio) avenues of social media and content. Through video sharing websites like YouTube, Vimeo, X, and TikTok digital multimedia creations can now go viral and be seen by millions of people around the globe, something that would have been impossible only a few years ago.
Background of Bicameral Media, Young and Rubicam and IBM
In the late 1990s, Dr. Paul L. Evans, developed multimedia presentations and demonstrations in his role as Executive Vice President Worldwide at Young and Rubicam using the technique of media rhetorics, which he delivered at major international conferences and marketing and advertising forums. In a now classic demonstration of rhetoric analysis, he analyzed the groundbreaking 1999 film The Blair Witch Project—a low-budget indie horror that grossed over $248 million worldwide through innovative viral marketing and “found footage” style. Dr. Evans explored how the film’s rhetoric (e.g., blurring lines between reality and fiction via mockumentary elements, online rumors, and audience immersion) redefined horror cinema and interactive storytelling, tying into his expertise in multimedia publishing and cultural analysis. His rhetoric analysis led to being dubbed “king of marketing” on Australian television. This work built on Evans’ prior IBM multimedia projects (like the Ulysses demo) and his Y&R Marketing Lab innovations, using the film as a case study for transmedia narrative and psychological engagement.
At IBM Dr. Evans had formed The IBM Multimedia Publishing Studio, an innovative startup division within IBM. Its mission was to develop, publish, and market interactive multimedia titles for the emerging consumer CD-ROM market, targeting education, entertainment, and cultural content. This was at the forefront of early multimedia computing, leveraging IBM’s hardware to create “illuminated” experiences that blended text, audio, video, graphics, and interactivity—prefiguring modern edutainment apps.
The studio produced high-end titles for classrooms and general audiences, often in partnership with major entities like Sony (for handheld CD-ROM XA players), McGraw-Hill, Twentieth Century Fox, Turner, Warner Brothers, the Louvre, the British Museum, and even “Star Wars” creators. One flagship project was the Illuminated Books and Manuscripts series, which “illuminated” classic literature through hyperlinked annotations, scholar videos, and audio narrations.
This studio exemplified IBM’s pivot to consumer multimedia.

MOBILE APP TARGETS CAMPUS HEALTH AND LIFESTYLE
WASHINGTON, DC- 6 Jan 2015: Innovative mobile wellness applications for America’s colleges are being featured at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show. Accelerating the transformation to mobile and connected health, the International Research Institute for Wellness and Prevention (IRIWP.com) announced today a new smartphone technology to improve healthy lifestyles on the nation’s college campuses, The CampusFitKit™. Targeting health-conscious college students the device leverages social networking, mobile connectivity, wellness databases, online product resources and instructional information to better track, manage, and improve health quality.
Can a college student live a health-promoting lifestyle? “We think so”, says Paul Evans, CEO of IRIWP, “The CampusFitKit™ maps current lifestyle information against a database of preferred healthy lifestyles, and perhaps the best place to road test it is on the college campus”, he added.
“It is a comprehensive approach. We wanted to provide electronic health protocols that are empirically based on consideration of the individual’s existing lifestyle data” said Aimon Kopera MD, who co-founded IRIWP and serves as Chief Health Scientist.
On a real-time basis The CampusFitKit™ monitors lifestyle activity and adjusts individual lifestyle protocols to help college students reach personal goals. Student interactions are also monitored and data compiled according to reported involvement with the protocols over time. Deviation from the individualized healthy protocols automatically triggers communication to modify or adjust the program.
“For all of us, there is a great need for a system that can identify key risk factors and provide individualized plans to improve lifestyle management and facilitate the maintenance of personal wellness and prevention” Dr. Kopera emphasized. “Digital health applications can help manage our own health, promote healthy living, and gain access to evidenced based information when and where we need it”.
As a part of the product launch, The CampusFitKit™ Challenge 2015 -a 90-day challenge to become the healthiest college, department, fraternity and sorority, or alumni group-will take place over the next 12 months on America’s campuses. IRIWP and the colleges chosen to participate will use the results to study the benefits of the program. The impact of the program will be measured by group improvements in students, faculty and other participants, their engagement with the program and the health outcomes achieved.
In addition to The CampusFitKit™, IRIWP announced that it will be releasing new mHealth applications tailored for the health-conscious consumer market in 2015.

Longevity and Cognitive Performance Centers
Human aging is associated with many factors, including not only physical and physiological factors but also lifestyle, social, educational and psychological factors.
The principle of neural entrainment underlies the effectiveness of binaural beats. When the brain is exposed to a repetitive auditory stimulus, its electrical activity can begin to align with the rhythm of that stimulus. This alignment may not only facilitate a more relaxed state but also prime the brain for enhanced learning, improved concentration, and better emotional regulation. Many meditation practitioners find that listening to binaural beats can lead to an immediate sense of calm and a smoother transition into meditation, making it an accessible tool for both beginners and seasoned practitioners.
Longevity and Cognitive Performance Centers optimize performance with wellness navigator activities and cognitive entrainment.
